Stockholm

Yesterday I wore my jacket for the first time in about a month. Whilst walking around town I put my hand in the pocket and pulled out a Stockholm bus ticket, 2 Hong Kong dollars, a Manchester tram ticket, an Omaha receipt, and a Chicago transit card.
I’ve been travelling around so much even my pocket litter is cosmopolitan.

Here are some photos and one little painting from my trip to Stockholm last month. I went with my mum and sister for three days. It was quite different to how I imagined it would be. There are lots of great museums, and being on the water it must be beautiful in the summer. The weird thing was I’ve always thought Scandinavian cities would be full of small art galleries and good music and cool bars, but if there was an area like this we completely missed it. It was very quiet for a European capital city, and it seemed like everyone we saw was between the ages of twenty five and forty. It reminded me of a giant Chorlton. It was a nice few days away though, I would go back one day (if I had a lot of money) when the weather is warmer and there is almost 24 hour sunlight, and go and track down a beach and a bar.
